So I admit, I am not a very good blogger, please forgive me! So I'm trying to catch up now. These pictures are from when my parents and Ryan came to visit us a little bit ago. We had a great time with them! In spite both my parents recovering from surgery's and not being able to walk around very well :)

This was way cool, a we were down by the fishing docs the boats were releasing water and some small fish. There was a seal and some pelican's to enjoy dinner :)

Our Spontaneous Road Trip to ARIZONA

Yes, I realize this is a late post, but I figure, better late than never!

Carter and I spent our General Conference In Arizona with Tom, Jada and Kealani. We go back to the days at BYU when each had one car, Jada left to work really early, so Carter and I'd pick Tom up and I'd drop both of them off at school before going to work! These guys are the best, they're living in AZ right now with their precious baby Kea, she'll be turning one next month!

We had such a great time with them and their beautiful new home!

Carter's first ATV experience :)

My Little Skateboarder

Chillin in the pool (literally)

Kea was always so happy, I never heard her cry all weekend! Really Jada, what's your secret!

ROAD TRIP

Happy Easter! Carter and I took a road trip To Las Vegas to watch my not so little brother play basketball! Vegas and Easter just go together. many people make it a habit of actually going to church on Easter... my family. well we took a different route...most of my childhood memories of celebrating Easter were spent in a Las Vegas hotel room, or motor home watching my older brothers play in the Easter Classic Basketball tournament. So we figured what better way than to keep tradition and be there again for Ryan! Astoundingly, the Easter Bunny was STILL able to find us!!

Ryan is a true champion! Anyone who hasn't seen him play ball yet... you need to! He lead his team to win First place in their division, he was a key player at critical times and scored a couple 3 pointers for me! All this while being sick! (they found out when they got home that he had some kind of bronchitis!) They lost by 2 pts in the top bracket of the tournament by a team from Jamaica man!

Unfortunately, I don't have any pics during the games because I was using my mom's camera for that.. but Saturday after the games, we went off the strip to the Las Vegas Temple. The temple there is beautiful! we had such a nice time relaxing and wandering around the temple grounds.

There were beautiful flowers there. I kept falling behind because I'd stop to take so many pictures.

I love this picture! I actually just framed a larger copy of it. It looks really good :) ... maybe I should submit it to the New Era?? what do you think? Ha ha...

Padres March 08

Okay so it's been a while since I've updated my Blog and I'm hearing about it from all of you, so needless to say there is a lot of new things to post we've been pretty busy. Tax Season is just around the corner and I cant wait to start cutting my 10 hr days down!

I’ll start with a brief history of the past couple months. Carter’s parents, john & Linda came to visit us in March. We had a really good time with them! Carter and I had to keep working while they were here, so they just relaxed and went hiking at Mission Trails Park, across the street from our house and when we go home from work, we’d party! We had the Best food while they were here I Love Linda’s cooking. We went sailing one day with a friend from my work. He has a 27 ft sail boat. John LOVES Sailing. It was so funny; he kept talking about buying a new sailboat and how much it would cost… They also kept talking about buying a house down here. That would really be cool!

We sailed in the bay this picture of carter’s dad says it all… and Carter’s a sailor in training

Other things we did with his parents… we went to see the blooming flowers in the deserts of Anza Borrego. Yeah it was as exciting as it sounds…ha ha. It was like a 2 hr drive and all there was tonz of people there! Then when we got to the flowers, they were like the size of a fly.

So here are a few pictures to enjoy. Apparently there were some HUGE flowers that were in bloom, but we were trying to avoid the crowds, and I guess the crowds knew where to go, b/c we didn’t see anything like that.

Whenever returning to San Diego, we always wonder, why do we even leave b/c everything here is so beautiful! The flowers were blooming on the side of the roads in bright pink and green and yellow and purple! Ahhh I love it! Plus mission Trails Park is in bloom. Oh well, it was a very nice trip. And I got two cacti from a small cactus shop.

Later that night we had dinner with Linda’s cousin Claudia and her husband they were so funny! They live in Riverside and we are hoping to visit them sometime again soon. Their nephew was also there. He lives here in San Diego.

The weather was perfect that week and the food was WONDERFUL! To say the least we had a wonderful time! Thanks for coming to visit us!

Tagged

Ok, I've now been tagged twice! So I guess it's about time I get going on this. I never do these b/c I never know what to say. And I agree with Jen, these take too much effort and thought...but here we go!

Donuts or bagels? Bagels- Costco Plain and blueberry, it's my breakfast almost every morning!

Rice or noodles? Depends...I eat them both a lot, probably noodles

Soup or salad? I'm always nervous what's in the soup (Like when Kelli found a bird's beak in her's), so I usually go with the salad. I love trying the house dressings.

Mexican or Italian? Mexican, definitely! Since I've been married, I crave the hot 'n spicy! It's not good until I'm sweating under my eyes. :) Carter's brother Link makes the BEST salsa, you can barely dip your chip it's so HOT!

Purse or shoes? Shoes... ever since I was young, I've had a hard time buying purses, you buy a purse to put money in... but once you've bought the purse you have no money to put in it...

Morning or night? Well since my mornings begin at 5am and nights end at 8:30, I'd say morning. Although I've always been a morning girl.

Summer or winter? Winter? oh is that what this rain is? ummm here in SD any season is perfect except May gray and June gloom. PS. No I don't miss the snow in Utah :) (visitors welcome)

Candy or chocolate? Chocolate covered candy! yeah I should really be cutting back...

Going out or staying in? There's nothing better than making a great dinner with my husband and watching a movie over a bowl of popcorn.

Laundry or dishes? This is a hard one, I don't like either...Carter and I try to take turns, but he usually gets the brunt of it... Sorry Babe :)

Skirt or dress? Skirts, there's more possibilities

Flip-flops or tennies? Flip-flops, I like the name thongs better... They're a daily wear for me. Love my rainbows!

Walking or jogging? Jogging? No, running! I have a hard time slowing down and just jogging. I want to sprint! I want to get my heart rate up and get it over with.

Hot chocolate or chocolate milk? Hot Chocolate, My stomach and milk don't get along.

Water or juice? Juice! yumm I love the "Green Machine" by naked.

TV shows or movies? TV seasons on DVD or tivo. The office, Earl, Top Model, Family Guy, Seinfeld.

Cats or dogs? Kittens and Dogs, although I have neither...

Diet or reg. soda? regular, gingerale on the rocks

Cake or pie? Not much of a pie person... gotta love the raspberry filled cake with lotsa frosting

Hair up or hair down? both. depends on my mood. which changes often :)

Mountains or beach? I love the beach!

Pink or blue? Pink

Drama or comedy? either one...

Hamburger or hot dog? bring on the relish dogs. We used to love going to mad dogs in Provo.

McDonald's or Wendy's? who? only In and Out.

Football or baseball? Football, especially Thanksgiving flag football

Epidural or natural? not sure yet...

Care bears or my little ponies? I love that they are both still around. I remember playing with both.

CD or radio? I listen to the radio all day at work, but when I'm at home, it's Imeem.

Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty? I dunno? sorry...

Okay, Jen and Ty, I hope you are satisfied. and I'm now going to tag, Torie, Toni, Cami, Crystal, and Amanda. Lets go Girls :)
