ROAD TRIP

Happy Easter! Carter and I took a road trip To Las Vegas to watch my not so little brother play basketball! Vegas and Easter just go together. many people make it a habit of actually going to church on Easter... my family. well we took a different route...most of my childhood memories of celebrating Easter were spent in a Las Vegas hotel room, or motor home watching my older brothers play in the Easter Classic Basketball tournament. So we figured what better way than to keep tradition and be there again for Ryan! Astoundingly, the Easter Bunny was STILL able to find us!!

Ryan is a true champion! Anyone who hasn't seen him play ball yet... you need to! He lead his team to win First place in their division, he was a key player at critical times and scored a couple 3 pointers for me! All this while being sick! (they found out when they got home that he had some kind of bronchitis!) They lost by 2 pts in the top bracket of the tournament by a team from Jamaica man!

Unfortunately, I don't have any pics during the games because I was using my mom's camera for that.. but Saturday after the games, we went off the strip to the Las Vegas Temple. The temple there is beautiful! we had such a nice time relaxing and wandering around the temple grounds.

There were beautiful flowers there. I kept falling behind because I'd stop to take so many pictures.

I love this picture! I actually just framed a larger copy of it. It looks really good :) ... maybe I should submit it to the New Era?? what do you think? Ha ha...

Padres March 08

Okay so it's been a while since I've updated my Blog and I'm hearing about it from all of you, so needless to say there is a lot of new things to post we've been pretty busy. Tax Season is just around the corner and I cant wait to start cutting my 10 hr days down!

I’ll start with a brief history of the past couple months. Carter’s parents, john & Linda came to visit us in March. We had a really good time with them! Carter and I had to keep working while they were here, so they just relaxed and went hiking at Mission Trails Park, across the street from our house and when we go home from work, we’d party! We had the Best food while they were here I Love Linda’s cooking. We went sailing one day with a friend from my work. He has a 27 ft sail boat. John LOVES Sailing. It was so funny; he kept talking about buying a new sailboat and how much it would cost… They also kept talking about buying a house down here. That would really be cool!

We sailed in the bay this picture of carter’s dad says it all… and Carter’s a sailor in training

Other things we did with his parents… we went to see the blooming flowers in the deserts of Anza Borrego. Yeah it was as exciting as it sounds…ha ha. It was like a 2 hr drive and all there was tonz of people there! Then when we got to the flowers, they were like the size of a fly.

So here are a few pictures to enjoy. Apparently there were some HUGE flowers that were in bloom, but we were trying to avoid the crowds, and I guess the crowds knew where to go, b/c we didn’t see anything like that.

Whenever returning to San Diego, we always wonder, why do we even leave b/c everything here is so beautiful! The flowers were blooming on the side of the roads in bright pink and green and yellow and purple! Ahhh I love it! Plus mission Trails Park is in bloom. Oh well, it was a very nice trip. And I got two cacti from a small cactus shop.

Later that night we had dinner with Linda’s cousin Claudia and her husband they were so funny! They live in Riverside and we are hoping to visit them sometime again soon. Their nephew was also there. He lives here in San Diego.

The weather was perfect that week and the food was WONDERFUL! To say the least we had a wonderful time! Thanks for coming to visit us!
