Surgeries

Success! Both Surgeries this week have gone really well, Dad had his on Monday and Kelli's on Wednesday. My Dad had his second knee replacement this year, he is painfully recovering. It's hard to see him in pain, he has a very high pain tolerance and so when he shows pain, you know it really hurts him. Yet, he does keep his sense of humor and was pulling pranks on me when I went to see him at the hospital.

Kelli had a cerebral decompression surgery, and basically it means that part of her brain was bigger than normal and putting pressure on her spinal cords causing really bad headache's . So they cut into her head and cut some of her scull out to give her some space. They had to shave off about 3 inches of hair , the cut is a little more than 4 inches long and has 18 staples. We're glad they figured out what was wrong so she doesn't have to be in so much pain! My mom and I went into surgery with her on Wednesday and tried to stay with her as much as we could. It took a little while for the anaesthetic to wear off, she was very patient in telling us what she needed especially when she was feeling so rotten. She was able to come home on Saturday.

So on top of my mom's broken foot still trying to heal from her fall at Thanksgiving she is now going to be taking care of both Kelli & my Dad...

Merry Christmas! Carter & I are very excited to come home this year, We have yet to see baby Brooklyn and are so excited to see all of our nieces and nephews! They grow up so fast! We have lots of fun activites planned, and look forward to seeing everyone! We love you all!

This is me dancing in front of our first real Christmas tree. Isn't it cute? We put up all of our ornaments, ya, it's a little random, but it's fun!

We went hiking this weekend across the street in Mission Trials, they have many different hikes and climbs and camping spots, also known as the guest room! Hint Hint...we'd love to show you our new treasure!

This is a lake across the street, it's so beautiful, and is always full of birds.
