Success! Both Surgeries this week have gone really well, Dad had his on Monday and Kelli's on Wednesday. My Dad had his second knee replacement this year, he is painfully recovering. It's hard to see him in pain, he has a very high pain tolerance and so when he shows pain, you know it really hurts him. Yet, he does keep his sense of humor and was pulling pranks on me when I went to see him at the hospital.
Kelli had a cerebral decompression surgery, and basically it means that part of her brain was bigger than normal and putting pressure on her spinal cords causing really bad headache's . So they cut into her head and cut some of her scull out to give her some space. They had to shave off about 3 inches of hair , the cut is a little more than 4 inches long and has 18 staples. We're glad they figured out what was wrong so she doesn't have to be in so much pain! My mom and I went into surgery with her on Wednesday and tried to stay with her as much as we could. It took a little while for the anaesthetic to wear off, she was very patient in telling us what she needed especially when she was feeling so rotten. She was able to come home on Saturday.
So on top of my mom's broken foot still trying to heal from her fall at Thanksgiving she is now going to be taking care of both Kelli & my Dad...

I'll Be home for Christmas!
This is me dancing in front of our first real Christmas tree. Isn't it cute? We put up all of our ornaments, ya, it's a little random, but it's fun!

Carter installing the new shelving units to make our lives a little bit easier.
Here is a shot of our living room. The mirror conveniently hides a failed attempt at hanging it the first time.
(We had to leave some hardware behind in the wall) Also, we are offering magic carpet rides on a first-come
first-serve basis. All ages welcome.

Home Sweet Home
We've finally made it! Carter and I were able to move into our new house this past Tuesday. I say finally because we were suppose to move in two weeks earlier. Some things were delayed and we had to extend our rental agreement three times, and change the Uhaul date five...
It was a roller coaster ride, but so far, we have no regrets. We love it here! Carter has spent most of his time putting up eight window blinds, and two fans. I've been organizing the kitchen, and emptying boxes. We love having the washer and dryer at our fingertips. It's amazing what you take for granted.
Thanks for all your calls and concern for us in regards to the fires down here. Luckily we were in a safe place and the fires didn't directly affect us. Today at church, they were announcing that we get to help in service projects to help clean up homes that were affected. We are looking forward to doing our part in the clean up effort.

It's Padres Time!!
Carter and I went to the Padres Baseball game with our ward, it was Mormon night at the Padres. It was very fun, especially seeing a lot of people we know. They played the Arizona Diamondbacks that night. It was an exciting game in the last few innings coming up from behind to tie the game, but the ending wasn't so good. There was a great atmosphere at the stadium, I enjoyed the watching the game I'd like to go more often!

Carter has is attending his GD&T class again. This is the one he goes to for a week from 8-5 on top of his normal work load. He gets homework at night with quizzes every morning and afternoon and a final test at the end! It doesn’t sound fun!
I’m staying busy with work and am actually going back to school this fall. I’m going to be taking a few classes that will go towards a finance degree. I’m getting excited, but am very nervous. I don’t know what it is, probably just getting back into the homework and tests… I know it will be for the best in the long run!
